What is WIFI SIP phone ?

A WiFi SIP phone uses session initiation protocol to communicate to other phones across the world. These revolutionary devices take advantage of the protocol to communicate quickly and easily. While similar to VoIP WiFi phones, they are not exactly the same. A WiFi SIP phone specifically uses the SIP to initiate communications.

How An WiFi SIP Phone Works

The phone will first off establish a connection to the local WiFi network. This requires that you have the right pass code to get through if it is a secured network. At home this is done very easily by simply entering the code that you have put onto your router. If you are on a network you do not have administrative rights to this can be a bit more of a problem. However, if it is a free network then you should have no problems getting in touch with the administrator and having them pass you a key to get on.

Once you have established connection with the network you can then begin sessions with other VoIP devices or make outbound calls. There usually is software installed on the phone that will facilitate this. There are many different kinds of software out there, but it is best to go with whatever is installed on the phone. This should make the WiFi SIP phone seem to operate just like any other normal phone and once you get the hang of it you will have a hard time telling the difference. Some people seem to experience a bit more lag on a WiFi SIP phone, but this is more a problem with the network then the actual phone.

There are many different kinds of WiFi SIP phones out there, but they all perform and have similar functions. One thing to remember though is that a WiFi SIP phone is not a replacement for a normal phone simply because they do not emergency response capabilities. Without this a WiFi SIP phone will never be able to completely replace a cellular phone. They can be great to have at home though if you have a wireless network because there is no cost for making calls and no monthly bill other then your normal internet bill. You will need some kind of broadband connection to run the phone as while they do not require a ton of bandwidth, a simple dial up modem is not sufficient. Also, you would need to tie up the phone line to be able to get incoming calls.

How Long Is An iPad's Lifespan Expectancy?

Considering the hefty price of the iPad, many might wonder towards its life expectancy. But should this issue be of actual dire importance when you purchase an iPad or any other type of technology?
First off, when you purchase an iPad or any other type of electronic device you should carefully assess the product warranty period and conditions. Most of the products have been designed to function at maximum capabilities for the warranty period, with results gradually decreasing during the following period. The iPad comes with a warranty period of 1 year which covers a large array of possible technical problems. This means that the optimal period of use is of 1 year.
Some retailers might also offer an extended guarantee of 1 year. The reason for this is because the iPad as well as other technological devices will still function properly for another 1 to 2 years after the warranty period expires.
Usually, the first iPad technical problems appear after more than 2 years, depending on the level of use and in average it reaches 3 years. Most frequently the technical problems that appear are related to the battery life, an issue that concerns most consumers.
The battery of an iPad has a lifespan of about 12 hours initially. As the battery is continuously recharged the life span gradually decreases. For example, after 1000 charge cycles the batter will retain 80% of its capacity (9.6 hours).
This is based on recharging the batter"fully" during each charge. This is what the Apple Company promotes.
But then again, what happens if the battery completely dies? The Apple Service providers will replace the battery for free, if it is in warrant period. If the warranty period has expired, it will cost a certain fee.
Second aspect that you need to take into consideration when you purchase an iPad is the technology itself. Before you decide to make a purchase you should correctly evaluate the technology it has and the actual use expectancy of it.
In other words you need to correctly evaluate for how long you are expected to use it before the product can no longer resolve your needs and you need to purchase a newer and more efficient model.
Considering the fact that Apple is constantly improving its products and subsequently its iPad, the technological expectancy of an iPad is around 1 year and a half and maximum 2 years.
So, to sum it up, in order to cover the technical and functional aspects, we would say that the life expectancy of an iPad is about 2 years.

Defrag Your Hardisk

Defrag? Sounds like a weird word someone has made up, or maybe a strange rock band from Norway. It is neither of these, but a command than can help you make your computer run faster and also help maintain the life of the disk in your computer.
Every computer when running a version of Microsoft Windows suffers from a problem called defragmentation. It may sound serious and if you do nothing about it your PC will slow down, plus it can reduce the life of your hard disk.
The problem is caused by the way Windows writes files to the hard disk, just like stacking things in the garage, you fit items in where ever you can. Microsoft Windows does much the same on a hard disk, parts of files you create are place where ever Windows can fit them on the disk.
When you display a file stored on your computer it all looks fine, but Windows may store the file in 100 different places on your computer, each place being a small part of the file. Defrag is the process of joining all of the 100 or so pieces back together on the hard disk in one long file. The benefits are the time to read the file and display the file on the screen are quicker and it also reduces the amount of work your computer does, which improves the life of your hard disk.
So how do you run this Defrag command? It's very simple and if you are not sure of anything, take a backup first.
You will need to open Windows Explorer and then click the right mouse button on your hard disk, if you have more than one disk it doesn't matter, all disks connected to the computer will be displayed in the defrag command section. After you have right clicked a menu is displayed, select Properties, the last menu option that appears.
Information about the disk(s) will be displayed along with some tabs across the screen, select the Tools tab.
In the new window displayed, Defrag is displayed; select the Defragment now... button, information about the hard disk(s) is now displayed. Depending on the version of Windows you are running the amount of fragmentation is displayed.
If the any of the disk needs to be Defragged, then Windows will indicated to do so.
Defrag is an easy way to help with speed issues your PC may be having.

What Is Cloud Storage ?

In its simplest form, it is the storage of information on a remote system. That system is usually a cluster of servers housed in a data center. The idea is that rather than store information locally on your computer hard drive, that information is instead uploaded via the Internet to a data center.
The whole cloud concept came about due to the fact that it is quite a good analogy. You don't know the particulars of where your data is stored and instead you can think of it as floating in the sky.
Because the sky exists everywhere in the world, so too can you access your data. This is one of the great benefits, data availability. You can be anywhere in the world and access the same data that you access can at home. Also, you are not limited to accessing that data on one computer or device. You can access it using any device you own.
The days of backing up to external hard drives are not quite behind us, but with internet access speeds continuing to increase year by year, backing up data to the cloud is definitely going to be the most common approach in the future. This leads me to the point that cloud storage is an excellent way to backup your data. In most cases, depending on your provider, it all happens automatically. So you don't even need to worry about it.
A great example of cloud storage in action would be Apples' new iCloud service. You might have heard of it. This is a great example of a cloud storage service. If you own an iPhone and like to take pictures, those pictures on your camera role are automatically uploaded to the cloud. This is great, because if you also own an Apple TV, you can take photos while out of the home and upon your return, view them on the big screen. This is all possible due to cloud storage.
There are many cloud storage providers, all priced differently though you'll mostly find them priced based on the amount of storage you require. There are also a handful of free cloud storage providers but these generally offer very small amounts of data storage. If you're planning on backing up a huge amount of data (a lot of photos or movies for example), you may need to shop around and find the best plan for you. However, if you're only looking to backup a handful of documents or contact info, perhaps the free cloud storage providers are worth taking a look at.
So that's it really. All you need to know about cloud storage. You can delve into the technical side of things if you like, but this is the simplest explanation.
If you'd like to find out about some of the free cloud storage providers, you can visit myfreecloudstorage.com We have reviews of each of the most popular providers for you to chose from.
